Forming a Team

Teams play a very important role in the Donate Life Run/Walk. So round up everyone you know, think of a catchy team name and get ready to join in the fun on April 25th!

We help make forming a team easy and provide help tips on team building and fundraising. For teams of 25 or more, registered on line before April 11th, 2008 Donate Life Event Directors will offer the following team incentives:

1. On-line registration with a team captain through Active.com

2. On-line fundraising team page through Active.com

3. Team Captain will receive team package which will include ideas on team building and fundraising. ActiveGiving.com

4. Day of Event:

A. Exclusive check-in area for teams of 25+ and Donate Life Concierge to assist with team check-in.
(must register team and 25 + members on-line by April 11th)

B. Team captain receives Donate Life Run/Walk polo and hat.

C. Team photo will be taken, 8 1/2 x 11 inch framed picture given to team captain.

D. All team members will receive complimentary green donate life awareness bracelet to wear during the event.

E. All team members will receive complimentary gold donate life pin and keychain.

Tips on Forming a Team

1. Choose a Team Captain
The team captain is the motivator and organizer of the team       and serves as the contact person with Donate Life   Run/Walk Team Liaison. The captain is responsible for relaying information to the team and motivating them to do their best.

2. Starting a Team
Sign onto Donateliferunwalk.org and click on Register which will connect to Active.com. Once on Active, register as a team captain and name your team.

By registering your team on-line, all donations and individual team member registrations is collected and updated through the website. It will take 90% of the work out of your hands! (If you prefer not to register on-line, please refer to the FAQ page)

3. Recruit
Set a goal to recruit at least 10 members for your team. Send your team name and Active website link to family, friends, and co-workers and ask them to join your team.

(For teams of 25 or more that register on-line by April 11th, special team incentives are offered)

4. Promote
Set up a Team Fundraising Page at www.activegiving.com and invite family, friends, and co- workers to make an online donation if they are unable to join the team.

5. Have FUN!
Support your team with an enthusiastic attitude….it’s contagious. Cheer your team to meet or exceed – their goal.
